wow, it sure has been a crazy week, I'm not exactly sure where to start.....
well, I guess I'll start with what I just found out....I just found out that two of my friends are pregnant, one with her first child and one with her second, it's soooo awesome! I'm so happy for them :)

anywho, onto my week......so I was supposed to go to florida this week, and I would have loved to go, but I wasn't able to, cuz I didn't finish all the work I needed to do for school intime (had to hand in a algorithms project on monday, and later this weekend a computer program i've been working on all week not to mention other reading) so I went to montreal.....but it's been a few hours since I started writing, and now i'm going to sleep, but i'll finish my story tomorow!

so I started the webcam up again this week....i'm running low on cash I suppose :)

anyways, I also moved my hosting site. I think I like this new place better....but my site is soooo broken right now, nothing is working and I totally screwed up the shtml....that will be my project to fix my site over the next few weeks...yay!

lotsa stuff has been going on these last few weeks, it's so crazy.

big news #1 is that I'm gonig to London come August for a semester (but i'll have a 2 year working visa) so i am probably gonna go back and forth (a semester or so between each time)

I have soooo much school work, I just can't get it all done.....i keep doing the easy stuff and since that never ends the hardest things get kept until the end....it's a bad habit I know....

i am supposed to go to florida on saturday, but i don't want to, I think I will go to montreal instead.....i really have no desire to sit in a car for 24 hours, I would rather sit in a train and enjoy myself.

well....I'm going to visit my grandma now, so bye.

Subject:hello from Amsterdam

hello! I'm sitting here in an internet cafe in Amsterdam with Lara, Aaron and Charles. We've been here for 3 days already and today is our last day. It's almost noon, and our flight leaves around 4 or 5 this afternoon heading back to Heathrow in London....It's pretty cheap this cafe, and really nice. 2.50 Guilders for over an hour (that's about $1.20 or so). It's pretty cool, hovering around 0C everday, but we're all bundled up. We've done so much walking and we went to a few museums (ie. Anne Frank). We've eaten a lot of Thai food and spent time in the bars. Well, I'll write more later, we gotta get going.

So I wrote my third exam today....third JOKE! This one was quite easy as well....I was going in with like 98% or something ridiculous like that...it's pretty crazy. Since I'm not in 3rd year, I seem to do so well in 2nd year courses....strange eh? (or not really!)

Anywho...I'll see what I get in total in the course, cuz the exam was either worth 50% or 60% (I'm not quite sure, it depends on how he marks my assignment that I handed in...he said he'd take better of the two)

So I left a msg for Pam and Mike this afternoon to see if they were gonna come to my wine tasting party or not....Mike called back saying that they were! (YAY!!!) and that Jake was coming as well (his wife has to work hahahah) - sorry for laughing, it's just so funny, that's the second "husband" coming and leaving their wives at work.

It was soooo cute because whit saw in this livejournal that I had sent out applications, she then told me how sad she was that she didn't get one! So I gave her an honourary one. If she's in town (she lives in TO) she may come.

yay! I'm done two exams now....wrote both today, here are their stories (oh so exciting)

So I'm sitting there at 11:15 in a classroom with my classmates waiting to write our "Structures and Applications of Microcomputers" (Assembly Programing) final exam. So this exam is worth a whopping 50% of our marks. I caclulated and I was going in with an 80% (40/50)....which isn't too bad....So then the prof comes and say's "Sorry guys, I made this two hour exam actually take 4 hours" and of course we laughed, thinking he was joking....no such luck. So he spends the next few minutes writing on the board things like "do either page 4 or page 5" for a bunch of pages.....the exam was supposed to be out of 100 (as was written on the front sheet)....he now makes it out of 75 with all the optional quiestions......so it's open book as well which is nice, however you can only choose one source to use: text or class notes (or something else) and after a long decision, I decide on using the textbook. Good choice I think. So after 2 hours, I think I'm doing great, I'm pretty sure I've gotten all the questions I've done right (at least they look right to me, based on what's in the text)....but I didn't get to finish some questions near the end, so half the class is still writing exam, even with all the questions we could choose out of.....as we're relunctantly handing in our pages I look at the board and the "out of ~75" is crossed out to be 65, then 60...and the prof said "ok guys, what do you really want me to make it out of?"....so basically the whole exam was a joke....a 50% of our mark joke....If I don't get at least a 75%, I'll be a complaining :)

so then I went to my Greek exam....that went ok, I did well on the translation part...so we'll see how I do....as I was handing in my exam, the prof mentioned that I didn't hand in the bonus assignment....oops! but he said I could still hand it in until thursday! yay me.

last night I went to the forum, and I tried out my new rollar skates! At first it was brutal, cuz I got on the rink and the bolts weren't tight, so I couldn't skate at all, but I didn't realize that was the problem until a few minutes later.....but then I got it fixed and everything was better....it was good that Randy had a nifty little tool that tightened the bolts for me.

so then around 10:00 or so Julie finally showed up with her baby....he's about 4 months old now and she gave me a cute picture of him to put in my wallet too. Her boyfriend Tim came along too, so it was nice to finally meet him as well, even though he's a bit shy. She also brought her 16 or 17 year old cousin with, who is obsessed with my friend chad (who was there too) and she's also obsessed with Don's brother Shawn.......everytime I'm over at their house, this girl is on the phone with one of them....my ear would fall off if I talked on the phone that much....heck I hardly ever talk on the phone, except just brief conversations that actually have a purpose :)

so it's now sunday afternoon, jeremy and I went to church this morning, then out for lunch at williams....I stopped at the liquor store on my way home and picked up a 12 pack of smirnoff ice and a 6 pack of grolsch (the beer to do "research" as charles puts it for our trip to amsterdam)....I might have to open a smirnoff soon......gotta finish this greek chapter first though!

so yesterday I never got around to the walk I wanted to go on, but today is nicer anyways, so I might do that today!

signing off for now...

so I ended up painting my nails this afternoon......they look kinda cool, I made pink tips then put sparkles on them!

maybe i'll post a picture

I got my rollar skates made today! they look kinda snazzy, they are a pair or roxy skater shoes, kinda baby blue and beige and i have a silver trunk and baby blue wheels.....they charged me $29 for abec 1's though, so that was a ripoff, I shoulda taken the abec 7's outta my blades...oh well, we'll see if they work alright

i'm supposed to be at the fourm in 20 mins or so! that's not gonna happen, I guess i'll be like 30 mins late or so

I found this today which I thought was funny:
Once upon a time, a beautiful, independent, self assured princess happened upon a frog in a pond. Suddenly, the frog spoke to her. "I was once a handsome prince until an evil witch put a spell on me. One kiss from you and I will turn back into a prince and then we can marry, move into the castle with my mom and you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children and forever feel happy doing so." That night, while the princess dined on frog legs, she kept laughing and saying, "I don't think so."

hmmmm.....so I've been up for 2 hours now. i hate this, it seems I never get anything done anymore. I've only reviewed one chapter of greek, I watched parts of the deleted scenes and stuff from seven and ate breakfast/lunch

I can't decide if I should go outside or not....right now I don't have any energy, but maybe i"ll help.

I need a coffee, I think I'll go make one, then do another chapter of greek.

Mood: sleepy

well, I might as well make this friday night thing a ritual......I can always post in livejournal on friday night. it's "technically" saturday morning, but who's counting.

I find myself in a different time zone for some reason. For the last two weeks or so I've been going to bed at 2 and waking up at 11.. I really want to get back to my normal sleeping of 11 - 8 or 9.......I might just have to force myself to wake up early one morning, so that I can go to bed early that night....we'll see

so what did I do this week? well, last entry I was talking about a wine party that I went to.....it went sooooo well, it was a lot of fun. We had a real wine judge come, and he gave us all booklets and stuff. Near the end there I'd had too much to drink, so I somehow managed to get to my bedroom with my glass of 1977 port (that I knew wouldn't be of any use to me at the time) so I drank it the next afternoon. So anyways, then I decided that was so much fun I wanted to host my own party, so on Sunday I made up some invitations and gave the out to some of my friends for a Wine Tasting that I will be hosting next weekend. I have only received one RSVP (kinda) but I did write to RSVP by sunday, so maybe I'll still get some. I think it would kinda suck, me sitting there by myself tasting the wine......ah maybe not, that's what I normally do anyway's :p

So then on to the week......nothing too exciting, went to a fitness and nutrition class monday night, a public policy class tuesday night, a social research methods class wednesday night and thursday i went shopping with my grandma and I got me a new coat.

I spent all week writing an essay too, I think it turned out alright, we'll see what the TA says.

So today was the last day of classes and exams start next week. I have two exams on tuesday, one on wednesday evening and one friday moring......on friday at 10:30 I'm free :) yay!

My family is gone to florida this week! Lucky them......I wouldn't mind being in florida right now......except my brother, I don't know where he is tonight, staying at some friends house.

So I did a bunch of Greek reading today (one of the courses I'm taking) then I decided I shouldn't be doing school work anymore, so I went and sat in the hottub, sipped a chocolate martini, ate pickles and cheese (which didn't go to well with the chocolate martini - I think beer or wine tastes better but oh well, it was fine) and watched the movie seven. We have so many movies that I want to watch but I just never get around to watching movies...so I thought tonight would be a good night to start.

My friend K8T and I are thinking about going to Quebec to go snowboarding for new years.....however in order to get a good rate we need 4 people in our room.......I suppose our goal in the next few days is to find two willing companions.....I do have to discuss that with her some more though.

So the goal tonight was to get to bed around midnight, it's almost 3.......maybe tomorrow should be my day to wake up early. Well, what I'll do is post an "I WOKE UP" as soon as I get up tomorrow .

Wowzers, just looked at the date! HAPPY DECEMBER EVERYONE! Craziness.

Ok, so what's the scoop for tomorrow: well this is the plan stan.....
get up: latest 10
have breaky, shower, blah blah blah
then i'll do like an hour of greek or so and maybe an hour of one of three other classes
then I'm hoping if it's nice I might go hiking somewhere.....however it's been rainy these last couple of days....I just wanna walk somewhere, with someone or some people or by myself I don't care......I don't like three days in a row of rain though (visions of whistler pop up in my head)
I do have to drop off a pair of running shoes I bought to make them into rollar skates.....I've given up rollar blading and I'm learning to rollar skate now......tomorrow I'm going back to the forum! I'm gonna meet Julie there, a friend I haven't really seen in a year or so, so hopefully that all works out.

I should probably throw a bit more work in there somewhere too! we'll see

anywhoI can't really think of anything else new or exciting , so i'll put this entry to an end, g'night :)

Subject:I was country, when country wasn't cool....
Security:Public

Sorry, just listening to that song on the radio. I like country music, but now since it's after midnight they seem to only have sad country music on the radio....

So tonight mom and I went out for sushi and then went to watch my brothers volleyball game (he's a frosh at uni) He doesn't normally play too much, but tonight he did, so it was pretty cool!

So today I started an essay that's due next week (I started the "research" part of it a few weeks ago) but to actually start writing, I hate doing that. I could never be a journalist. The problem with me is that I like doing the research and knowing about topics, but having to write it for other people to read just bothers me....they should just read it for themselves! I suppose I'm in the arts and essays and reports are what I should get used to writing, since I am in third year. Oh well, I'll get used to it someday (maybe).

So I'll stop whinning about my school work now, I'm lucky to be in school and I know that.

So what's new this week? I know I should write everyday, but like I always say, I just have no desire to. But anyways.....so last weekend I spent saturday night in St. Catherines, and it was fun. I went with KT (who invited me) and Tanya, and Dan and Charles. We went bowling in St. Catherines with Edith and Bernie (whose house we stayed at). It was pretty fun since it was a nice and big bowling alley (with a bar which always helps my bowling :p)

So I can't wait to go to Europe and visit Lara and Aaron...doesn't feel like I'm only going for 11 days though! That will probably go way to fast! Charles *might* get his passport in time! If he doesn't, sucks to be him, he's staying at home hahahhhahaha (sorry for laughing)

Hmm....so one week left of classes, boy do 12 week semesters ever go fast! I'm pretty shy, but I've met a few new people this semester so that is kind of cool I suppose. I suppose it would be easier if I lived on campus, but alas, NO THANK YOU!

I can't wait until tomorrow, my folks are having a wine tasting party, and I was invited! WOOOOOOWHOOOO! I love wine tasting parties.

So my old roomate from Whistler e-mailed me this week (only took her like 3 weeks to respond to my e-mail) and that made me feel good. It's always great hearing from old friends, especially when you've drifted a bit.

So it's only 12:30 on a friday night and I'm sitting in my room with my lava lamp running, a chocolate martini sitting beside me and my terrorism report sitting beside me (I'm writing it now). This is quite strayed from the good old days when I didn't arrive home until like 3 in the morning. However tomorrows plan is to finish (or at least write a few more pages) of this STUPID report. I did choose an interesting topic (in my view anyways) Terroism and Canada's Public Policy towards it (not in those words exactly, but you know what I mean hopefully).

Well, I think I'll turn in now, so g'night :)

well, I moved this laptop up to my room since I was tired of sitting the kitchen, hehe, needed a change of scenery. No, I don't have any cams installed on this computer right now, I'm still waiting for *my* laptop to be able to come up here....no such luck yet, but things are getting close, since we got all the windoze 'puter on the network today with the satelite connection going...now just the macs need to come on....too many computers in this house

I also just set up my lava lamp .....I haven't had it running in a while and it looks pretty cool I have to admit..

oh yeah, and I forgot to mention in the last entry that I got another plant....it looks kinda tropical, I have it sitting on my window sil....like a palm tree, reminds me of the beach :) but it's only about 2 feet tall.

I kinda want school to end, done my last exam dec. 7 at 10:30am, so i'm counting down the days, I suppose I should do my readings too...

i'm listening to sad country music on the radio while sipping my chocolate martini

Subject:well now....

Ok, here I am again, sitting at the computer, telling the world about my life. In response to my last update, I now have my new bed installed. It's kinda weird sleeping on a new bed. I find it quite hard to get used to. It's like staying at a hostel, hotel, friends house or new house...always hard to fall asleep at first. Hopefully I'll get used to it soon. Now if that were the extent of my problems.....

So what am I doing sitting here on a friday night at the computer? We'll get to that later, let me tell you about my week. Well, there's actually not much to say right now. I always have interesting things to say (in my mind anyways) about that particular day, but of course by the time I arrive home all I want to do is have a chocolate martini (or wine) and then head to sleep...who wants to write about the day? I don't anyways....so I have to find moments like these, when I'm bored, but then oddly enough what I say is boring.

So what did I do? I went to IKEA again and got a new shelf. It's so exciting redoing my rooom. Went to my evening classes on mon-wed then thursday just hung out with chad and shawn. It was funny cuz were were watching bruce's webcam (www.thebruce.ca) (he lives in my friend andre's basement) he had soooo many people over. So we called andre and a few seconds later there he was on cam. Anywho, maybe it doesn't sound so funny right now, but it was at the time!)

I was thinking about getting my flu shot today, but I was too lazy (didn't get it last week either). Mom and I just made really cool grasshopper drinks, I'm not a huge fan of creme du menthe, but these don't taste so bad.

Well, I suppose there's no reason for me to be sitting here now, I really haven't done much today at all. I went to my greek class this morning, then came home, then went to my afternoon assembler class only to find a note on the door saying class was canceled (it's a 20 min drive each way, geez).

Hopefully tomorrow will be fun, have a bunch of things planned (how unusual of me!)

so did anyone see the Northern Lights on Monday night? They were soooo amazing here! I am now in week 9 at school, so we're getting close to the end. This past weekend was pretty cool because on Saturday a whole bunch of people came over to my house and we played capture the flags out in the bush. The weather was pretty nice so it was fun! We might play again this weekend. Today is a busy day for me, I'm just taking a break from taking one of my desks out of my room so that I can put my new bed in there! Yay me! :) I'll be going back to school later this afternoon. I'll go to class, go swimming, and maybe get my flu shot, then call lara! We have so much discussing to do since Charles and I are going to visit Lara and Aaron in London for a while in December! We are also all going to Amsterdam, so it should be a fun trip. I'm not sure what else is new, but the weather here right now is so warm! I hardly need a jacket, it's pretty crazy. Just looking out the window, I see my car looks like it's been offroading, I think I just might have to wash it today! Well, i'll write more later

Ok, so I suppose it's been a while since I have updated this journal, and as I always say, maybe I'll try to do it more frequently.

So what has been happening with me you ask? (I wonder if anyone reads this) I am in week 7 at school now, just finished my last midterm (for a few weeks anyways) so I'm all excited. I spent the weekend in Rochester, NY for a conference, that was pretty exciting. Two weeks ago or so I went to Vegas, I enjoyed that, finally being legal and being there. I have lost my voice, so I can't really talk right now, well I can, but it sounds really funny. I have been spending a lot of time with a bunch of new (but old) friends since I came back to Ontario 2 months ago.

As for my website, well, I just may get around to updating it soon too tell you the truth....

well, g'night

well, yeah so like I said nothing much is new.....except for in geekland I noticed that my plant was dying today....so I gave it two cups of water!!!!! *yay me* OK, so I'm really a geek.......actually, geek is probably the wrong word, loser would be a good word for that.....geeks are cool, cuz that's what I am normally...

geeks do computer stuff, and that's what I dooo! yay :)

did I ever tell you guys I bought a plant? I doubt it....but I did....it's my first plant ever. I've had it for about 6 weeks now......I've only come home a few times when it's been kinda wilted....a few glasses of water and it's all good. When I went to the nursery I asked for a plant that was low maintenance since I'd never had a plant before. So they gave me one. It's great.....we have it sitting beside our TV....maybe I'll show you a picture some time :(

Well, my mom called tonight, two people in our family (who happen to live in Germany) died over the last two day. My mom's uncle and my grandfather's sister (so my mom's uncle and aunt then?). I tried to look up the obituaries, but I guess they aren't up yet....I searched through the online German newspaper (yes I can speak German, but not all *that* great, just enough to get by. Since my grandparents have spoken to me in German all my life I've learned to understand it very well, and I lived in Germany for 3 months when I was in Gr. 10 for an exchange...plus I took German school from kindergarten - gr. 13 (and I took french from gr. 1 - gr. 13)....but anyway's , I'm babbling, no sentences or anything....I don't care it's my journal I can write whatever I want....other people can read it though....doesn't feel like other people read it so I'll just write like I'm the only one who's ever going to see it.

So brynne comes home tomorrow, it's been nice having the place to myself for a week (she went back to Ontario for a week to visit everyone) but I do miss her, place feels kinda empty I suppose.

I just watch ally mcbeal.....I recorded X-files & The Practice last night, so i'm gonna watch them now! We have a vcr, but only one tape to record on, so I better watch my recordings before I want to watch anything else.

I bought all the ingrediants to potatoe salad today...but when I got home I realized I didn't have a bowl to make it in....I guess i'll have to buy that tomorrow (hopefully it won't be more than $2.50 since that's all I have until next week....yeah I'm poor) but then I can finally make some food. This month of April was very straining financially. I could spend about $10 a week in extra money, the rest was tied up.......I get paid again around the 15th, so maybe I'll have some money then???? I dunno...maybe my potatoe salad will last 15 days....oh nevermind that's kinda gross.

Free food is always good, and I had some yesterday....UHF was really good, met a lot of new people and watched a really good band "The Wildings"

well, I think i'll go watch the X-files now, then head to sleep, I do have to get up at 8am tomorrow morning.....

This morning I was tired when I woke up, and I'd had 8 hours of sleep....I suppose I'm used to having 10 hours that's the problem......I guess I'm weird, most people I talk to only get 6 hours. When I was in University I suppose I only got 6-8 hours......

Oh yeah, my courses start on May 7th, I can't wait.....I've already gone through the booklets and know exactly what's going on!!! My actual textbooks should arrive this week.......btw if you don't know since I didn't go to school this semester I signed up for 2 Distance Ed courses (towards my degree) for this summer semester....I miss school already so I just *had* to sign up......A lot of people I know hate school, but i'm one of those odd balls who actually thrive on learning.....I guess that's a good thing :) Actually I know it's a good thing, I just have to learn how to put all my knowledge into play I suppose, and that just comes with time.

So to time I end this message.

wow, so it's already been a week since my last entry! boy does time ever fly!!

just got home from work....I worked everyday which is unusual for me, don't really like the fact that I don't have any days off, but I need the money right now maybe I'll get less hours again soon...

I just spoke on ICQ to a friend of mine that I went to elementary school with. That was pretty cool, I've only seen her a few times since then, so a lot is new!

I think I'm gonna have a bath soon.....

Tonight I'm going to UHF, it's like a youth group concert or something, I'm not really sure.....I guess a band will be playing and there's free dinner. I'm always up for free food :)

I went through some of the poems posted on my website poems section....Wow, all I can say is wow.....I love reading them. I suppose I should read them more often!

It's been raining all week pretty much, I'm getting sick of the rain....really sick of the rain. I've been feeling pretty blah lately, I think it's because of the weather. I haven't been able to pick up my bike yet either, because of the rain (I seem to be blaming everything on the rain)

Well, I don't really know what else to post right now, so to the bathtub I go :)
